LAMP Turns Five! Anniversary Party to Feature Simian Mobile Disco & Matthew Dear DJ Sets
This Saturday, we are thrilled to celebrate LAMP‘s five year anniversary! LAMP (Los Angeles Music Project) has blossomed from a creative think tank into a dynamic artist collective. The group produces highly curated music offerings on their digital platform, executes immersive experiential events supplemented with custom visuals, and nurtures budding artist projects.
In honor of five years making countless positive moves in the lives of musicians and listeners alike, we are throwing down…Warehouse style! Taking place at 1720 Warehouse, an artist-owned venue with an underground feel and modern vibes in DTLA, we are welcoming the likes of Simian Mobile Disco (DJ Set), Matthew Dear (DJ Set), PZB, and MR PUZL, in addition to some special guests!
Simian Mobile Disco are English electronic legends. Comprised of James Ford and Jas Shaw (of the band Simian), the duo has been playing and producing since 2003. They have explored countless styles and production methods…from analog, to techno, to free-form and beyond. We are stoked to have them gracing our stage!
Matthew Dear is another formidable artist. An American producer, DJ, experimental pop artist, and label founder (Spectral Sound and Ghostly International) whose skilled aesthetic is both pensive and playful, his DJ set will be a treat to experience.
PZB (aka Josh Brooks) is a co-founder of LAMP, half of Brooks & Millar, as well as talented house and techno artist. Through his work (both solo and collective), he has helped produce, acquire, and mentor a plethora of rising talent in the LA area and beyond. We will also have fellow co-founder of LAMP and founder of lifestyle brand and design house PUZL Records, MR PUZL. Specializing in deep house and tech house, he will definitely have the warehouse vibes flowing!
See you on the dancefloor…
