#GiorgiosDisco

We are honored to present a once-in-a-lifetime special event…the official birthday extravaganza in honor of the Father of Disco Giorgio Moroder, who will be gracing the stage for a full DJ set.

Considered the Inventor of Disco and the Godfather of Electronic Music, Moroder’s influence extends deeply starting in the 70s disco scene, lending his musical prowess to the likes of David Bowie, Elton John, Cher, Donna Summer, and more recently Daft Punk, while also masterminding film scores for motion pictures like Scarface and Midnight Express. His work has landed him three Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, four Grammys, and more than 100 gold or platinum records

Not only considered the inventor of disco, but also largely responsible for the resurgence we’re currently in the midst of, Moroder was also the inspiration behind the exclusive Giorgio’s, LA’s late night disco hot spot at The Standard, spearheaded by Bryan Rabin and Adam Bravin.

That’s not all…witness a very special and rare live performance from Roy Ayers, one of the biggest names in R&B, and catalyst for Neo-Soul. Ayers, like Moroder, has managed to expertly bridge the gap between musical frontiers of long ago, while maintaining relevance among modern music purveyors (i.e. collaborating with Talib Kweli and Kanye West in 2014).

As if all of this weren’t enough, the dance floor is going to be ravished by Aeroplane (aka Vito De Luca), Belgium’s Nu-Disco legend, as well as a live set by Yacht (Jona Bechtolt, Claire L. Evans, and Rob Kieswetter), plus Adam Bravin, and some very special guests.

Let’s Dance!
